It’s track season – the season when lots of young people are running up and down the street, with a look on their face that makes a person think they must be passing a kidney stone. Perhaps it isn’t that bad, but I have yet to see any of them smiling.

It was springtime and my two youngest daughters had been cooped up in the house all winter and were fretting to get out every chance they could. They were born after we thought we were done having children and they have complicated our household in many wonderful ways. They have also colored our lives with a tapestry of awareness that we should have had with our other children but did not always.
Final Choral Concert of the year – SFHS & SFJH

My wife, Donna, and I have been married now for 23 wonderful years. When we were engaged we took a class on courtship and marriage. As part of the course everyone had to fill out a survey of compatibility. Most of the class had to cajole someone else in to being their partner in the survey, but we conveniently had each other.
