Beth Reynolds Blake - 93 Obituary
Beth was born March 26, 1916 to Ward Willard Reynolds and LaVerna Harris Reynolds in Marysville, Idaho. She attended grade school in Chapin and in Marysville, and she graduated from Ashton High School as valedictorian.
Beth married Frank Keith Blake June 18, 1936 in Salt Lake City, UT. In 1943 their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
In the early years of their marriage they lived in Pasadena, California. They returned to Idaho in 1943 where they became involved in the sheep industry.
Beth was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many capacities, including Relief Society President. She and Keith served as full-time missionaries in the Wisconsin, Milwaukee mission and worked in the Idaho Falls temple as officiators.
She spent many years serving the community at Thriftway Drug and Porter’s Ben Franklin.
We will miss her no-nonsense approach to life, her homemade pies, her amazing quick wit, and ability to tell stories. She was so easy to talk to and easy to love.
She is survived by her children, Frank Brent (Sharon) Blake, Richard Reynolds (Rhea) Blake, Kristy (John) Pehrson, 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Metcalf, Colleen Pfost, and brother, Bill Reynolds. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, a brother, a son, a grandson, and two great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the
